Sausage Balls

3 cups Bisquick
2 cups grated Cheddar cheese
1 pound hot or mild fresh ground sausage

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.  Mix together Bisquick, Cheddar cheese, and sausage.  If needed, add a little water to bind mixture.  Form into 1 inch balls.  Bake for 15 minutes.  Drain on paper towels.  Serve warm.

Makes about 3 dozen

Notes: This freezes well either before or after baking.  If freezing raw, defrost before baking.  If you prefer a lighter sausage, turkey sausage works well.  In fact, the staff here at R.S.V.P. loves to shop for fresh meat and sausage and cheese and pierogi...at Avenue Market on Forest Avenue right here in Downtown Plymouth!
